How do I turn on the keyboard?
On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard and choose Fancier Fonts. Then, in any app, tap and hold the 🌐 globe key and pick Fancier Fonts. The app's Keyboard screen (ⓘ → Set up the keyboard) has a shortcut to Settings.
Why don't some styles work with the keyboard as I type?
Styles like Upside Down, Clap, uwu and the decorations need the whole sentence. Type normally, then tap ✨ to restyle the current line. Tap ✨ again straight away to undo.
Does the keyboard need "Full Access"?
No. It never asks for it, so iOS keeps it offline and separate from your other data.
Is there a keyboard on Android?
Not yet. The Android app has all the styles, banners, favorites and history, with tap to copy.
Why do some styles show up as boxes?
Fancy text is made from special Unicode symbols rather than real fonts. Most phones and apps show them, but some older devices or apps don't have every symbol. If a style shows as boxes or question marks for your friends, try a different one.
Is fancy text accessible?
Not very. Screen readers may read the symbols one by one or skip them entirely, so keep important information (like contact details) in normal text.
Why do my ASCII banners look jumbled?
Banners only line up in monospaced text. Use "Copy for Discord" to paste into a code block, or "Share image" for everywhere else.
